Chehalem Valley BMX held one of Oregon’s eight state
championship qualifying events during the weekend and saw 131 riders in 32 motos.
Several Newberg riders placed in the event. Kaylie Linder finished
second in the 12-year-old girls race; Cody Linder finished second in the 10-year-old
expert division; Brandon Boatright placed fourth in the 12-year-old expert division and
Dundee’s Cameron Roberson placed third in the 5-and-under intermediate
division.
All riders qualified for the state championshipsslated for Aug. 28-29 in
Grants Pass.
Results:
PRO division: Justin Chapman (first), Eric Miller (second), Ryan Wentland
(third) and Trent Beaver (fourth).
Eight-year-old girls division: Dariene Galt (first), Jordan Willis (second)
Shelby Reilly (third). Ten-year-old girls division: Shelby Kimble (first), Tiffany Galt
(second) and Jeneisha Ridge (third). Twelve-year-old girls divsision: Elizabeth Thramer
(first), Kaylie Linder (second) and Amanda Larkins (third). Thirteen-and-under girls
division: Shawna Thompson (first), Nicole Woodrow (second), Sarah Fraka (third) and
Mircydes Ridge (fourth).
The 9-and-under cruiser division: Kanon Seitz (first), Austin Shaddy
(second), Austin Burleson (third) and Brenden Nipp (fourth). The 11-year-old cruiser
division: Kirk Dieke (first), Danny Rodgers (second) and Adam Hayner (third). The
12-year-old cruiser division: Nathan Munoz (first), David Teeter (second), Dustin
Robertson (third) and Brandon Boatright (fourth). The 14-year-old cruiser division: Marco
Cortez (first), Sean Talton (second), Clay Lent (third) and Conner Price (fourth). The
26-30 Cruiser division: Ken Pliska (first), Cameron McGinley (second), Pat Daniels
(third), Cory Yeack (fourth), Rich Smothers (fifth) and Matt Morris (sixth). The 41-45
Cruiser division: Tim Rathbun (first), Danny Garcher (second) and Jim Robertson (third).
The 11-13 girls Cruiser division: Nicole Woodrow (first), Kaylie Linder
(second), Sunny Harmeson (third) and Shelby Kimble (fourth).
The 5-and-under intermediate division: Bennett Mesa (first), Brandon
Derryberry (second) and Cameron Roberson (third). The 6-and-under intermediate division:
Sean Fox (first), Austin Burleson (second), Gary Jacques (third), Ryan Nolan (fourth) and
Austin Stine (fifth).
The 6-year-old expert division: Isaac Gillard (first), Cole Evans (second),
Jeffrey Ridge (third), Caleb Hansen (fourth) and Elijah Glenn (fifth).
The 7-year-old novice division: Jacobi Gudgell (first), Joseph Martinez
(second) and Sivan Fox (third). The 7-year-old intermediate division: Peyton Mesa (first),
Brandon Brewer (second) and Lane Kernutt (third). The 7-year-old expert division: Dalton
McHougal (first), Austin Burleson (second), Austin Shaddy (third), Dustin Purkey (fourth)
and Brenden Nipp (fifth).
The 8-year-old intermediate division: Tanner Shaddy (first), Cole Harmeson
(second) and Hutch Kimble (third). The 8-year-old expert division: Dakota Senger (first),
Sammy Daniels (second), William Galt (third), Tyler Benson (fourth) and Isiah Willis
(fifth). The 9-year-old intermediate division: Bryce Brewer (first), Cameron Mesa
(second), Tayler Anderson (third), Seth Fox (fourth), Jimmy Provan (fifth), Kyler Pierce
(sixth) and Antonio Herrera (seventh).
The 10-year-old expert division: Trey Thurber (first), Cody Linder (second),

Talton (fourth) and Troy Plemmons (fifth). The 19- to 27-year-old intermediate division:
